Many scientific pieces of research show that when invested in the right employees, the returns earned will be higher. But the main concern arises here is how to identify these right employees.

A company undoubtedly invests in each employee it hires. But it’s some of the employee’s appropriate traits and capabilities required for the job, that would make him stand out. This makes the employer put in those extra efforts to provide him with the right kind of training and exposure.

This has shown an increase in the process of high potential (HiPo) identification. This is a process where the employee amongst all others who has the potential to commit, rise and succeed in various leadership roles.

The employee is always up for new tasks and opportunities, which could be associated with a higher managerial role. They always involve themselves in the decision-making process by providing valuable inputs and are absolutely committed to their work.

Flexible

A person with great potential is quick to adapt to new processes and is flexible enough to perform in urgent scenarios as well. He would be willing to take that extra step and always be ready to perform in the times of urgencies.

Social Skills

The ability to get engaged with other employees of the company and seek their cooperation is a big thing. A high potential employee possesses good social skills which happen to influence people around and make them stand out. They are able to manage themselves and well as the others. Such people handle pressure well and are able to work constructively in times of adversities.
